◆Business-academia collaboration project

Since 2011, Noble Apex Inc. started a three-year business-academia collaboration project with Tokyo Mode Gakuen and the Tokyo cooperative association of neckties.

Mode Gakuen Established by Mr. Masaru Tani in April 1966, the educational corporation runs computer, fashion and healthcare related colleges and higher vocational schools in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Paris. Seiwa Original is a category of the fabrics woven in a dedicated factory of Seiwa Neckwear Co., Ltd, well-established tie manufacturer of Japan with more than 75 years of history.

Pearltone process

Pearltone is a highly effective process in which each and every fiber is permeated with a water-repellent substance.

It keeps silk fabric’s original texture and shine without losing the property of aeration, quite different from a waterproof coating in which a thin film is laid over the fabric. With the pearltone finish, it is possible to clean silk fabric with water, which otherwise had been considered impossible. It is also very effective to prevent mold growth while an item is in storage.

Standard is a category among Noble Ties in which a tie is fabricated, not using fabrics woven especially for ties, but using fabrics for general garments, hence each fabric has different material composition. Fabricating a Noble Tie using the Standard fabric needs technical skill to deal with individual fabrics appropriately since every fabric has different characteristics.

Inden Inden is a traditional leather craft of Japan that uses deerskin in its products covered with Urushi lacquer patterns. The Inden leather used by Noble Tie is produced by Kasuga Co., Ltd of Nara prefecture, who uses only the authentic traditional method to produce highest quality leather goods.

Using the latest technology and the company’s proprietary technique based on the traditional method that has been handed down for generations, Kasuga deals with every step of fur and deerskin processing at its advanced facility. Notes for all the products

Noble Tie

(1)Do not use the product if it may be exposed to sweat or high humidity since the product is made of natural leather and color may be shed, staining the clothes.
(2)If the product is worn using a chain, do not use a chain with excessive strength that will not break and give critical damage to the body in case of a freak accident.Also do not use a chain that is constructed in such a way to give damaging pressure to the neck.
(3)When the product gets wet or soiled, follow the treatment method suggested by Noble Apex Inc..
(4)Do not use the product near something extremely hot or under strong sunlight.
(5)Check the shape and function of the product before use.
(6)Since the product is made of multiple layers of natural leather, each individual product varies slightly in terms of weight, shape, warping, angle, and size.

Tie-reel

(1)Do not pull the lead part totally out of the tie-reel.
(2)Do not let the ring or tie-reel go off your hand when the lead part is extended.
(3)Do not put excessive force on the ring or tie-reel as they may deform or break.
(4)Do not pull the lead with excessive force.

◆Maintenance
If Noble Tie gets wet in the rain.
Leather is an organic material.
If it is stored while it is wet or dump, it may get moldy as well as inviting many problems such as degradation, hardening, and color staining.
Try to get rid of water by lightly patting the surface using soft and dry cloth and leave to dry in the shade.
Do not pat too hard or scrape the surface, since it causes water to penetrate inside or, worse, the surface of the leather may be scratched which may lead to color shedding.
Do not attempt to dry it quicker using a dryer or direct sunlight.It may cause hardening of the leather, deformation, and degradation.

If the Noble Tie is soiled by food or other material.
Try to get rid of the blot carefully using soft and dry cloth, then using a tightly wrung damp cloth pat the surface.Please do this as soon as possible.
The Noble Tie is made of real leather.Do not use benzene or thinner to clean it.
These chemicals may cause staining and discoloration.
Use the same method of cleaning when the tie becomes moldy, however, blue and black molds eat into the leather, complete restoration may not be possible.

Maintenance of the Noble Tie
Dry soft cloth ⇒ The highest quality Muntjac deerskin, renowned for its softness and moisture absorbency, is included for cleaning.
Please use this as soon as possible when the product is wet or soiled.
After cleaning, dry it in the shade and put it away in the purpose-made box, making sure the tie is completely dry.
It is recommended that the drying agent in the box be renewed every 3 months.
Fresh forest aroma can be restored to the molding in the box to give fragrance to the tie.
Avoid high temperature and humidity as well as direct sunlight even if it is stored in the box.

Tab collar is not recommended since the Noble Tie will hide its attraction, the tab.
Wide spread collars, such as Quarter Spread and Half Spread, are not suitable since the metal clasps on the Noble Tie will be visible. Wide spread collars also lack stability to hold down the wings of the tie, causing it to skew.
